No Bullying Reports Before Spring Valley HS Stabbing

A recent stabbing at a Spring Valley High School was claimed to be because of bullying. Tom Carton, East Rampao school district’s security director said, “There is no record of bullying. I was never made aware of any bullying problems between these two kids.”

Christopher Bermeo, 16 year-old, stabbed his schoolmate four times with a penknife in the school’s hallway. The school district is plans on conducting more random searches of students, lockers and bags.
